Learn Electrical.
Estimating, contracts and disputes, written for the people pricing and running mechanical, electrical and public health packages. Worked examples with real quantities, the mistakes that cost money named specifically, and the commercial judgement that otherwise takes years on site to pick up.

Why these courses exist
Services, not general construction
General commercial training stops where building services begin. Every lesson here is about the mechanical, electrical and public health packages — the ones carrying the risk and the margin.
Numbers you can check
Real take-offs with real quantities. One drainage stack works out at 62 fittings against 22 metres of pipe, with about half the labour in the fittings — which is exactly why measuring drainage by the metre under-prices it.
The mistakes that cost the job
Secondary returns left out. Fittings assumed rather than counted. A compensation event notified a week late. Each course names the specific errors and shows what each one does to the number.
Written, not watched
Text you can search, skim and come back to mid-tender, on any device. No video to sit through, no schedule, no deadline.
Yours permanently
Buy a course and it stays yours. No expiry, no renewal, and no licence you lose when you change employer. Revisions are included.
UK practice throughout
UK contract forms, UK standards and sterling. JCT and NEC4 as they are actually administered here, not a general treatment with the names changed.
Or subscribe to everything
One payment covers the plan for as long as you subscribe, including courses added later. Cancel any time.

Questions before you buy
Who are these courses for?
Estimators, quantity surveyors and commercial managers working on mechanical, electrical and public health packages — including people who have picked the work up without formal training, and tradespeople moving into estimating.
Is this UK practice?
Yes. UK contract forms, UK standards and sterling throughout. JCT and NEC4 are covered as they are administered in the UK.
Is there a certificate? Does it count towards CPD?
No to both. These are training courses, not qualifications, and they are not accredited by any awarding body. If you need a certificate for a professional requirement, look elsewhere — we would rather tell you that before you pay.
How long does a course take?
There is no fixed length. Courses run from 20 to 95 written lessons, and they are self-paced — most people work through them alongside the job over a few weeks.
Do I need any particular software?
No. These are about measurement, rates and commercial judgement, not a particular package.
How long do I keep access?
That depends how you buy. A course bought outright is yours permanently — one payment, no renewal, and revisions are included. A subscription covers everything in its plan for as long as it runs, including courses added later, and access ends when you cancel.
Can my employer pay, or buy for a team?
Yes. For one person, an employer can pay at the checkout like anyone else. For several people it is arranged directly instead: tell us how many and which areas you need covered, and you get the cost in writing before anything is set up. The For Teams page explains how that works.
